The Rotunda of Mosta or Rotunda of St Marija Assunta is a Roman Catholic church in Mosta, Malta. It is the fourth largest unsupported dome in the world. On the afternoon of April 9, 1942 two Luftwaffe bombs were dropped on the Mosta Dome. One pierced the dome and fell among a congregation of more than 300 people awaiting early evening mass and another on the left side of the church's triangular facade. Both the bombs did not explode and it was later diffused and disposed in the sea. A replica of this bomb can be found in the church today.
